Ready To Go Find Dory? You Can Also Find Nemo At Your Book Or Comic Store!

by Michelle “Ms. Geek” Klein-Hass

Pixar and Disney are getting ready to screen Finding Dory, the continuation of the story started in Finding Nemo, at your local theatre. The anticipation for this new oceanic journey has been quite high, and at this writing, the movie is on its way to Certified Fresh on RottenTomatoes.Com at 93%.

Of course, this sequel has a lot to live up to. The 2003 original film remains one of the highest rated films on Rotten Tomatoes at 99%. It is on the list of all-time highest rated films on the site, just above The Wizard of Oz. Only Toy Story and Toy Story 2, in a virtual tie on the list, rank higher in rank for Pixar animated films on the site.

One thing that you might not have known is that, as a tie-in with Finding Nemo’s release in Japan, a manga was also published. We put out a “Cine-Manga” book in 2003 in connection with the US release of the film. However, the Nemo manga has never seen the light of day in English…until now.

We are releasing in both hardcover physical book collector’s edition and as an eBook. There are many reasons why the book is going to be an impressive experience: Pixar has opened their vault, and has let us publish eight sketches from the original storyboard as part of the bonus features. And of course, the beautiful and durable hard cover, and the familiar all-ages appropriate story makes this a manga you will be happy to share with the entire family.

Finding Nemo: the Disney Manga can be purchased both as a physical and as an e-book. Links available here: http://www.tokyopop.com/book-catalogue/2016/4/28/finding-nemo
