World, meet Ben Carpenter - the engineering student showing us that one man's spinal muscular atrophy is the same man's brilliant Mad Max costume. It was just another lovely Dragon Con day in Atlanta, Georgia last weekend until Team Carpenter rode into the halls of Con in an epic wheelchair-made-War Rig. The War Rig, captained by Carpenter's Furiosa-inspired friend, Amy, superbly reincarnates one of the earlier scenes in the movie where Max is chained to the front of a War Rig providing a blood transfusion to the War Boy, Nux.

Naturally, the awesome cosplay made it's way to the front page of Reddit where Carpenter received the honorary Reddit Gold, where he had this to say: "Thank you all so much for all the support and comments! I am utterly speechless at how this cosplay has been spread, and honestly, all I can say is thank you for making this SO SHINY AND CHROME!"
