TOKYOPOP Fam: Bonjour from France!
A week ago I had the pleasure of attending - for my first time ever - the world-famous International Comics Festival in Angoulême, France! This festival has been going on each year for the past 43 years - and it takes place in a picturesque albeit chilly town near Bordeaux (famous of course for its wine).
"Bande Dessinée" is the French term for comics - but in particular French-style "BD" have a unique format and style all their own.
Josh and I had a great time representing our affiliate company POP Comics, as well as TOKYOPOP, and meeting many comics professionals from Europe and beyond. And - bonus! - we discovered an amazing Otomo exhibition that featured the Akira bike!
