I’ve just spent the past two weeks in China - starting in Beijing, then to Shenzhen, and now Hong Kong.This is my second time to Hong Kong in the past month, and I anticipate returning to both Beijing and Hong Kong quite frequently? Why? Because China is amazing! The country is really taking off, and everything you’ve read about the economy and society growing fast is true.

Interesting news has surfaced regarding the Japanese release of Neill Blomkamp’s (District 9, Elysium) newest film, ‘Chappie.’ Whilst translating and dubbing the film, Sony Pictures Japan apparently also decided to censor the film and cut a MPCEC (the Japanese equivalent of MPAA) PG-12 rated version, claiming they wanted to “reach as wide an audience as possible.”

Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro - Studio Ghibli is synonymous with animated movie magic. Even the nice old lady slinging sweet tea at the corner store in my small Kentucky hometown has heard of these classic Japanese films and knows the name Miyazaki (probably because of me in this particular case...).

Japanese customers of dTV streaming service, formerly known as dVideo, a joint venture between telco giant Docomo and production company Avex, now have a series of their own to look forward to with a three part live-action ʻAttack on Titanʼ miniseries.

When the third episode in the Rebuild Of Evangelion movie franchise was released in November, 2012, fans had already been grousing about how long the film was delayed. After they saw it, however, there were definitely mixed reactions to this very radical break from the original storyline.
